Dear Lawrence,
For the student:
He should try his luck at www.egea.eu and post his request overthere (the European Geography Association, for students and young geographers). It would be a good idea for him/her to specify a bit more clearly his/her needs (which borders / which parts of Europe).
Best regards,
Rink

Onderwerp: Border data required for GIS
Can anyone help me to answer the following query (in italics) that I received from a student:
Are you able to provide me with a list of border/geolocation files for GIS? I am specifically needing border files to map some coordinates in Europe – Digimap only have files for the UK.
I’ve found one or two resources but a subscription is required (e.g. postcode maps from GfK ).
Regards,
Lawrence
