In looking at the 75 hits for the search of your name, some are works that
you are not the author of. These are also in all likelihood works that
either cite you or in the text of the publication mention you by name.
It could be that your publications have made a larger impact than you are
aware of or that you measure impact differently, but I do believe that you
have not been ignored. One problem is that some indexing media like
Psychological Abstracts index only a specific group of journals and if one
publishes outside of that group of journals, ones works will not be picked
up by that indexing source. With more and more folks turning to sources
like Google Scholar and Google Books for their research resources for term
papers as students as well as scholarly literature for literature reviews
by researchers, the limitations in coverage of sources like Web of
Science, Psychological Abstracts, MEDLINE and other sources will become
less of a barrier to the finding of quality publications that are posted
in journals not covered by the main indexing tools. Self archiving on the
web as well as publication in free, open access, full text online web
bases publications will add accessibility to the indexing done by Google
Scholar and Books, hence making these sources findable to be cited and
used by other scholars.
