In the key URL given down below, the parenthesis " ) " should be a
slash " / ", thus: http://www.anianet.com/
That works. There are about 2900 Chinese researchers listed - their
interests can be searched several ways -- I tried 'disability' -- one came up,
in Hong Kong.
Give it a year or two, there might be 10 million Chinese researchers listed
(with 3,000 having some disability interest?)
Will South Asian researchers (or their governments) set up a site to make
their research better known to the rest of the world? (I wouldn't bet on it. The
Govt of PRC is confident that it can overtake the West in the information and
research game in 15 to 20 years, in most of the fields it considers important;
and is pouring funds into doing so, focusing its research forces where it
wants them. The South Asian governments have no such expectations, plans
or funds, apart from some hopes and wishes in the 'defence' field).
