medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Compare this in Jerome's preface to Bk. 13 of his commentary on Isaiah:
Et cum psalmista loquere: Exsurge, ut quid dormis, Domine?
The passage in the the Psalms would appear to be 44: 24:
Evigila, quare obdormis, Domine?
Exsurge et ne repellas in finem.
Best,
John Dillon
