Dear Ken,
Thank you for your support for trimming the tails in replies to posts on the
list.
On the matter of the AFL, debating the game would, indeed, require a change
of subject headers. It is duly noted and, as you see, the header is now
appropriate to this response.
Needless to say, I intended no offense to those who barrack for St. Kilda.
Even so, I thought it wise to tip my hat to the Cats. Dr. Deirdre Barron
comes from Geelong. She is our distinguished and occasionally rambunctious
deputy dean. It would be remiss not to acknowledge a day of rejoicing such
as this.
This offers an opportunity to demonstrate an appropriately trimmed response,
and an occasion to exemplify a change of subject headers.
And with that, I return to my cup of breakfast tea and the morning paper.
Yours,
Ken
