medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Today 22nd is it equinox "Equinoctium autumnale" -
which means that both day and night are exactly twelve hours.
(Sunset advances with approximately 2 minutes per day, Sunrise is
2 minutes later, that makes around 4 minutes daylight lost per day in total).
According to Grotefend's Taschenbuch was the medieval Equinoctium
placed on 21st Sept. - but the Met office knows better, and claims that it is
more like tonight between the 22nd and the 23rd.
My Time-manager has it closer on the 24th: Sunrise: 7.01 Sunset 19.02 CET
but who want to argue with modern science?
A moment of meditation - Tempus fugit (etcetera)
All best
