Course overview
A highly practical course looking at Web 2.0 technologies that library and information professionals can use to work more efficiently and effectively. Participants will learn how to promote themselves and their libraries, service or organisation using social networking and other user generated content websites.
The half-day session will explain what is meant by Web 2.0 applications, and looks at using shared authoring tools, weblogs, RSS, wikis, media sharing software, tagging, and social networking within the context of library and information management.
Who should attend?
Any library and information professional who has an interest in Web 2.0 technologies and wants to use them within their own library or information centre. No prior use of Web 2.0 is needed, but familiarity with a web browser would be useful. All terms will
