From a health librarian's perspective, "appraised" information is a critical evaluation of relevant and quality for topics in biomedicine. In a strict sense of "appraised" in clinical medicine, this term means that a topic has been put through a process of evaluation that can lead to tertiary summmarized sources of information; one word we use for these tools is "point of care":
