Hi all,
I have rarely, if at all, posted on the list although I have read and have
learned so much from you all so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank
you. I attended my PhD graduation ceremony in July and my work is due to be
published some time in October. I have been researching into the effects of
the environment on the sensory system and subsequent behaviour and well
being of children with autism.
I currently advise on the design of environments and help to develop new
software on a number of projects, present conferences on this subject and am
a scientific advisor on a large research charity. I am however, spending
some time trying to work out the next step in this new journey and am not
particularly au fait with academic institutions and their protocol as my
degree, masters and PhD have been done remotely so I guess I have a new
learning experience ahead of me as I try to engage in a more formal career!
Thanks once again and good luck to those of you who are still on their
journey towards their doctorate.
