Hi David and all,
I came across this because Clive gave me a copy of the publication.
Given that many people outside the university sector see themselves,
rightly or wrongly, as doing more advanced work than is taking place
in universities, offerings like this may seem anachronistic. If they
are seen as at the same level as work carried out in the non-
university sector, could they not be perceived as subsidised
competition?
The effective management of these issues as been a critical issue for
our continuing good relations with industry.
