italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
I'm intrigued by the comments this has received. I've got to say that
I like Andrea's suggestion regarding soap made in a bowl; it's my
hunch that this is what Isabella is seeking.
This made me look into the etymology of the name of the marian shrine
I mentioned, and I found at http://www.parrocchiagottolengo.it/
incidella.htm:
Best wishes, George
