Ed (and by extension, Bruce):
I've not been ignoring you, just trying to marshall my limited resources
to say something useful.
No doubt others might disagree, but I'm not sure that the Sindice
Ontology View is all that much more useful than the old HILT Vocabulary
listings (can't access them at the moment, server seems to be
down)--both provide a rather bounded view of what's available, but
still, as you note, somewhat useful.
You're right, it's a challenge. We spent some time in the UK this
summer talking to other registry folks about some possibilities for
cross-registry communication, given the needs for discoverability as
well as functionality for a DSP tool. Everybody's in a slightly
different place re: goals and funding, so it's slow going, unfortunately.
My original intent, though, was to get the DC community to pay more
attention to where its vocabularies were being used. A somewhat more
limited goal, but not much easier to do, for all that.
