At face value, entirely fake. The use of English is irregular in
places. None of the Emilys seem to be Professors, though one is
certainly a researcher in the UK. As you suggest, Elsevier would not
use a gmail address, and live.co.uk vectors to MS Bing, the new search
engine in beta.
Maybe it's a viral propagated by the evil empire (Microsoft)?
