Apologies for cross-posting:
MEDEA IS HIRING AT MALMÖ UNIVERSITY, SWEDEN
Medea Collaborative Media Initiative is a center for new media
research and development at Malmö University, Sweden. Medea is built
around co-production with actors outside academia – companies,
organizations, artists, citizens, etc. A special focus is put on the
development of new creative practices and on new public spheres.
Currently, three full professors, four associate professors and six
PhD students are employed in the two initial research areas of Medea
and closely related activities. In two years' time, the plan is for
Medea to comprise at least four major research areas and employ around
30 staff members and PhD students.
We are now looking to expand our faculty with a full professor. We
also announce the opening of two programs for visiting colleagues of
exceptional standing: An artist-in-residence program and an
entrepreneur-in-residence program.
--------
Professor of New Media with a particular focus on new media and co-
production.
The specific area of competence within new media is open (art, design,
public spheres, learning, economy, law, etc.) -- in a way, we are
looking forward to being surprised.
General criteria are scientific, collaborative and pedagogical
expertise.

Application due on October 1, 2009.

Artist-in-Residence Program (Visiting Professor)

seeks artists working within the field of new media interested in
collaborative practices. Each year one or two artists will be
selected. The duration of the stay depends on the kind of work to be
carried out, but normally the stay will be for either four or eight
months. Each artist is granted salary, accommodation and expenses for
travelling to Malmö.
The steering committee of Medea selects artists. For further
information, email Bo Reimer, Professor of Media and Communication
Studies and Director of Medea ([log in to unmask]).

Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program (Visiting Professor)
In 2010, Medea will launch an entrepreneur-in-residence program. The

and new innovation models. Each year one entrepreneur will be
selected. The duration of the stay depends on the kind of work to be
carried out, but normally the stay will be for either four months full
time or eight months part time. Each entrepreneur is granted salary,
accommodation and expenses for travelling to Malmö.
