After seeing the recent list of libraries who twitter, I would be
interested to find out who in the library service is maintaining the
tweets (and the same goes to some extent for facebook etc). Is it the
systems person, a specialist post, interested staff members, or a group
of people. I suspect it varies from organisation to organisation.
In our organisation we have a number of staff who are keen to develop
some library web 2 prescence and I think that it should probably be
those people that perhaps take the lead on this, if we can spare their
time from other duties, with the systems team providing support if
necessary. I was wondering if other organisations have gone down this
route.
