Thanks to everyone who replied to my query. It seems a few libraries are
about to take the plunge and buy a Wii.
We asked some of our Interactive club members to suggest some titles using
the criteria below:
# not too violent
# under 12 rating
# don't take too long to play (no strategy games)
# mix of games to suit girls and boys
# not too loud (even though Guitar Hero was recommended we thought
against it for now)
This is the list they came up with:
FIFA 09
Mario vs Sonic At The Olympic Games
Need For Speed Undercover - (or Need for Speed: ProStreet)
Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party
Mario Kart
Monsters V Aliens
My Fitness Coach
Crazy Golf
More Game Party
Cooking Mama 2
Here's the list of accessories we will be buying:
Nintendo Official Component Video Cable
3 Year Breakdown Cover
Wii Nunchuk Controller x3
Wii Remote x3
Wii Fit, Family Ski and Rechargeable Battery Pack.
Wii Wheel x2
Pack of 2 Nintendo Wii Skins x3
Wii 4 in 1 Powerstation.
Nintendo Wii Twin Remote Docking Station with Batteries.
Emma's (from Plymouth) idea of allowing the users to select a new title every
month sounds like a good idea and I will be suggesting this to our Stock
Manager.
We are planning on buying a 52" LCD screen to use with the Wii which will be
in a lockable cupboard underneath.
I'm not sure how we are going make sure the controllers don't go walkabout
(may be we can issue the controllers) and also whether we should allow
people to bring their own games to library.
I'm sure we'll have other issues when we get it installed (and lots of fun)
