ALISS Visit to Zoological Society of London Library and Archive

ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information professionals in the Social Sciences). are pleased to announce an opportunity to visit the Library and archive of the Zoological society of London which contains a unique collection of books and journals based on the history of the Zoo and the conservation of animals.

The visit will last approximately 2 hours
It will involve a tour of the reading room, talk and demonstration of the catalogue (which is based on the BLISS Classification scheme) and an opportunity to view some of the rare books, archives and meet with staff.
Please note a donation of £5.50 will be requested from all attendees on the day
