Here's an invitation for abstract to an exciting special issue of Australian Medical Journal (AMJ), that seeks to publish research and practical collaborations between design and health science/care. See details below:
Call for papers
Design research and application of design thinking are evolving and being applied in various
disciplines. Collaborations between design teams and health science researchers present the exciting
prospect of patient-centred products and systems. This special issue of the Australasian Medical
Journal offers a platform for researchers, health care practitioners, and designers to showcase
methods and processes that apply design thinking for effective health care services and products. You
are invited to submit papers in the following topics:
• Innovative health care device design
• Emotion design and health care
• Spatial design in health environment
• Health care system design
• Patient-centred design
• Human-computer-interaction (HCI) in health care
• Communication design and health care
The AMJ is a fully peer reviewed journal, and features papers from a broad base of medical and
paramedical researchers / experts. The scope includes research and audit through to discussion and
opinion. We are especially keen to receive papers from new and emerging experts including students.
Above all the AMJ adheres to the highest standards with particular emphasis on the novelty of ideas
