Regarding the Siegel and Gebbels dissertations recently requested. First
the good news! The IoA library does have copies of both dissertations.
Now the bad news. They are only available in microfiche format (yurgh!)
The Gebbels dissertation is on one sheet of about 36 pages and the
Siegel dissertation is on 3 sheets, of about 86 pages. They can only be
consulted on site, The microfiche reader does have a printer but it is
20 p a page!. I have taken copies of the contents page and conclusions
for each dissertation to check the quality of reproduction and it is
reasonable - for the text anyway. I didn't have time to check the images
but I imagine they will not be of high quality.
If anyone is interested in further information, perhaps the simplest
thing would be to contact me directly.
