Thanks for this note. I agree that Gadamer's perspectives have value.
My point is not that I find no value in Gadamer's hermeneutics. My point is that Gadamer's hermeneutics are a philosophical position and not a research method.
Jurgen asked about useful research methods. In my reply, I felt it helpful to distinguish between exegetical hermeneutics as an applicable research method and the ontological position of the Heidegger and post-Heidegger hermeneutics.
