Hi Haakon,
just a short hint that regarding your first question, there was a paper
in the last (I think) NeuroImage that dealt with the accuracy of spatial
normalization, and DARTEL performed pretty well when compared with about
10 other algorithms, including spm2, spm5, and unified segmentation in spm5.
