Did you remember to use SETAXIS? If you have an ACSIS cube in file
"fred.sdf", the whole operation is:
# Convert the spectral axis in fred.sdf to frequency
% wcsattrib fred set system freq
# Create an AXIS structure for axis 3 from the WCS component
% setaxis fred 3 wcs
# Create an ASCII file holding the spectrum at pixel (12,-5) (for
example) in the cube
% ascout fred'(12,-5,0)' asc_12_-5.txt
# Convert some more spectra to text...
% ascout fred'(2,3,0)' asc_2_3.txt
...
