CILIPS is organising a major one day networking event in Glasgow on 19th
March but hurry because booking closes soon.
‘Skills for Scotland’ offers library and information professionals and
others involved in community learning an opportunity to discuss and debate
their work in the context of the Government’s skills strategy and there are
a few places left.
The aim of the event is to:
• Consider the role of libraries and learning centres in informal and formal
learning
• Raise awareness of the importance of information literacy to the learning
agenda
• Highlight good practice across the sectors
Delegates will also be able to meet informally with CILIPS President for
2009, Margaret Forrest, as well as members of CILIPS Council and staff.
Learn more about the advantages of being a CILIPS member and how you can
contribute to the success of the organisation.
Hear from a range of speakers on learning, literacy and libraries.
Further information and online booking is available at www.slainte.org.uk
Booking closes Friday 13th March
