Many thanks to everyone who replied to my email about bib-based or
item-based holds. Seven libraries are using bib-based holds, and 3 are
using item-based - discounting the contradictory replies I received from
one library! It is clear that the decision isn't as simple as it first
appears - factors like how many sites you have, how far apart they are,
and the nature of your users must also be taken into account. We have
much to consider!
Thanks again,
Ian
