Dear All
Does anyone know where I can get a leflunomide level done? For those of you
who are unaware of this drug (I was until yesterday) it is one of the newer
treatments for rheumatic disease, it has a long half live and is teratogenic.
The reason for the request is that we have a patient commenced on this drug
(in another country) and when our rheumatologists took over her care she was
found to be pregnant. All information we have recommends treatment with
cholestyramine to enhance elimination and recommends monitoring to ensure
elimination – but doesn’t mention where to get the level done.
Many thanks
Tony
