medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Scotland had/has Petermas (St. Peter in Chains; 1. August), Georgemas, and Marymas. If you google these as a group you should find links to pages of the _Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae_ instancing their use. Petermas apparently survives in Caithness in references to its Victorian-period fair held on that day.
There's also Thomas (St. Thom's Day), whose etymology is even more apparent in its Italian congener Tommaso (with double 'm'). Nothing doubtful there!

John Dillon
