I am interested in hearing from anyone who is involved in running business
information services, or is involved in reviewing or setting up a service.
I am investigating the potential of setting up a business information service
which includes costed services e.g. charging for added-value staff research
time or staff time in creating mailing lists from databases.
I would like to know:
What you charge?
What level of take up you get? What sort of income do you make?
Any feedback from customers about your charging structure?
How you have successfully marketed the service?
Do you have specialist Business Information staff?
I have received feedback from our Economic Partnership team, and other local
business groups that we should charge for the business services we offer.
However, I am trying to estimate the potential value of charging, compared to
the investment needed in managing, marketing and maintaining the service.
I look forward to hearing from you and value your contributions - I will of
course share items for the list when appropriate,
Thank you, Katie
