This is an area we're keen to develop through the Vital Link libraries
and literacy programme - appealing books and other hard copy and online
reading material for Entry Level and pre-Entry Level learners. So we'll
be interested to hear from other libraries involved in this area of work
- perhaps via answers to Alyson.
In the meantime, I presume you know about books supplied by Avanti Books
- see www.avantibooks.com - including New Leaf and Gatehouse title,
although I realise that some of these might be too complex too.
Best wishes Genevieve

Subject: Fiction for adults with learning difficulties[Scanned]
One of our outreach librarians is doing a lot of work with adults with
learning
difficulties. She finds that Quick Reads are too difficult for them and
would like
something with pictures and fewer words. However children's picture
books
are not appropriate. Can anyone suggest anything, or put us in touch
with
suitable publishers?
