Aim
Led by the UK PubMed Central development team, the aim of these sessions is
to enable UK PubMed Central users (and potential users) to play a key role in
the redevelopment of the UK PubMed Central service.
Who should attend
- Biomedical and health researchers
- Librarians and administrators who support biomedical and health researchers
Overview
UK PubMed Central – http://ukpmc.ac.uk – provides a stable, permanent, and
free-to-access online digital archive of full-text, peer-reviewed research
publications
An exciting development programme for UK PubMed Central is now underway,
focussing on the two key areas of text mining and providing access to
additional content
These services will be made available via a completely redesigned UK PubMed
Central website
Attendees will:
- find out what UK PubMed Central is and why they should use it;
- trial and provide feedback on new developments, including innovative text-
mining tools;
- with a designer on hand, create prototypes for the new UK PubMed Central
website.
