Not suprisingly :) I would suggest you take a look at our
Template-O-Matic toolbox (see NeuroImage 2008, 41,903-913). I realize
the title is a bit misleading but it may be quite suitable for your
purposes: it analyzes any given population statistically w.r.t. age and
gender (and other variables of interest, if you want) and then generates
matched templates from this population. It works for children, and I am
sure that, if your group is large enough, it would be quite helpful for
subjects on the other end of the age spectrum. You can download it from
