I agree on the research merits, but I have to wonder about the practical side.
Single patterns aren't particularly useful - not as useful, I think, as
whole pattern languages. Since the chain is only as strong as the weakest
link, then the language is only as valid as it's /least/ validated pattern.
Following up on the voting system thing is on my to-do list; I'm actually only
2 or 3 "degrees of separation" from Stuart Cowan - perhaps I start there.
