This is a fantastic chance to join a top company in academic
publishing. A leading international and prestigious academic publisher
of books and journals in print and online is currently seeking a part
time Journals Production Editor to join its Production team, working
from their busy London office.
Reporting to the Production Director for the Social Science Journals
list, you will take responsibility for a list of academic journals,
focusing on production but with an awareness of list management
issues. Other responsibilities would include: keeping multiple
projects on schedule and within budget; sharing responsibility for the
costs and cost-effectiveness of editorial and origination work;
monitoring the quality of work carried out by freelancers (mostly
project managers, copy-editors and proof-readers); and providing
support services to the academic editor(s), board members and
contributors.
You should be self motivated, able to multi task effectively and be a
good team player. This is a very good opportunity for the right
candidate to join a highly successful publisher.
Our client is based in a fantastic, central London (Zone 1) location.
This is a contract role for three months from 5 January 2009, working
21 hours a week. Our client can offer some flexibility in the days
