medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Today's ODNB Life of the Day is Michael Zell's biography of Nicholas Wotton
(c.1497-1567), diplomat and dean of Canterbury and York - an interesting
study of an ecclesiastic who managed to survive the tumultuous years of the
English Reformation - chiefly, it would seem, by not showing (or having?)
any strong opinions.
