Sessional Tutors: Register and Hourly Paid

Media Department
Salary: Up to £40.62 an hour depending on skills and experience
As a result of the increase in Masters level work in Education, the
on-going development of school based MA work and preparations for the
new Masters in Teaching (MTL) qualification, the Professional
Development Directorate are looking for suitably qualified and
experienced academic staff with relevant qualifications to support our
on-going work.
Applications are particularly invited from people with Professional
Studies experience gained in secondary schools and/or experience of
teaching or leading a department in a school. Those that already hold
a Masters Degree in Education are strongly encouraged to make an
application.

In addition as a result of the growth in the Media Department
following the gaining of our Skillset Academy status, we are also
looking for suitably qualified and experienced academic
staff/practitioners for our hourly paid visiting lecturer database. We
will use this register to find future staff for MA and BA teaching.
Applications are particularly invited from experienced lecturers who
combine a theoretical with a practical background (eg a Master's
degree plus industry experience plus HE teaching experience) as many

We want to compile a register of lecturers in advertising,
copywriting, PR, journalism, publishing, television production
(particularly studio based work), media studies, in particular
institutions and industry practice.
