Dear all
HLG is short of committee members, including officer roles (secretary, chair
and vice-chair!)
Would any of you like to be head hunted?
Committee meetings tend to be in London, but expenses are paid.
Let me know if you are interested.
David

Subject: FW: Nominations for HLG committee - deadline 30th November
I hope you have seen the request for nominations for HLG committee members
and officer roles, which have been distributed on various email lists (see
example below), and also in CILIP Gazette.
Despite these attempts, plus an extra offer of mentoring support in the
London area, we still haven't received any nominations for the roles below
(we have filled the Treasurer role), and so, unless this situation changes,
we will have no chair, vice chair or secretary from January.
As the current HLG Secretary, I've informed the HLG committee of this
situation - and we will of course be discussing the issue at our next
meeting on 9th December.
I've also asked them for suggestions of people to 'head hunt'
I'm therefore contacting you, as SHA library leads, to see if you have any
contacts you could suggest, or if you have any other suggestions for how we
can encourage volunteers to join the committee - particularly in an officer
role.
I look forward to hearing from you
best wishes
sarah
