I am trying to render 1mm HIRES T1 images with 2-3 overlays; I think
it's probably the NVIDIA drivers.... I was originally using a remote
desktop/VNC connection but decided to make the 15 foot walk (I needed
the exercise) to the actual server and do the rendering directly from
the console. I have a feeling I am using the "non-proprietary"
open-GL drivers that come with redhat-- I'll try
downloading/installing the NVIDIA drivers and try that.
Also-- what kind of rendering performance have people gotten using the
VMWARE player/FSLVIEW on a windows XP system? I am wondering if it's
worth trying that as well....I haven't played with VMWARE in a couple
of months, so don't remember how good of a job it does with 3-d
graphics...
