We currently have a Locum Band 7 clinical scientist post out to advert
on the nhsjobs website.
It is a 6 month locum post at the Clinical Biochemistry Department,
University Hospital Lewisham. The department provides a wide range of
biochemical services including comprehensive routine biochemistry
testing on Abbott analysers. The department is also the regional newborn
screening Laboratory for congenital hypothyroidism and cystic fibrosis.
For newborn screening purposes the department is linked in partnership
with the newborn screening laboratories at Guy’s & St Thomas’s
Hospitals for PKU and MCADD and King’s College Hospital for sickle
cell disease. We are also a Reference lab for Serum Cholinesterase
assay.
