As far as I'm aware, you don't need transferrin. It's a misnomer.
It's the serum iron* 100 /TIBC (as a percentage)

I am interested to hear from anyone providing a calculation of
transferrin saturation, from measurement of iron and transferrin, as to
what molecular weight they are using for transferrin in their
calculation as references state anywhere from 75 kDa to over 90kDa.
