I have been asked for further investigations regarding a
patient who appears to be having hypokalaemia induced by
liquorice ingestion. Patient seems to be 'addicted' to it!
Is there any way of confirming this is indeed the cause?
Urine steroid profile re 11B-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase?
Can glycyrrhizinic acid be measured?
Many thanks
Rob
