It surely is a puzzle that anyone could misinterpret Ken's meaning.
However, before this turns into a thread, a couple of points :o)
Unsub messages breaking through onto the list are thankfully rare. For
every one that does, I guess another 5 or 6 are trapped by the system
and come to me, and I quietly remove them. I have never regarded it as
helpful to post notices on how to unsubscribe from this or any other
list. By the time any confused people want to leave, they will
probably have lost the instructions anyway. DRN carries full
instructions on leaving, but even so, many requests still come to the
listowners.
I just checked the stats to see if droves of subscribers, apparently
instructed by Ken's messianic command to be gone from phd-design, had
actually done so. I am pleased to report that in the last 24 hours
only three people have left our community, but three more have joined.
I hope everybody else stays, you are all most welcome.
For the avoidance of doubt, this is intended to be a factual notice
without exhortations to leave our community. And it is entirely free
of mythologies of any kind. Or pictures of Keith's splendid beard.
