Dear Olive
I am enrolled for an Msc Pain Management (e-learning) whilst working as
consultant anaesthetist. I was working as a locum at the Radcliffe Hospital
Complex during this summer. Pretty please, offer me a moment of guidance?
As part of my epidemiology case study, I have to look at www.nsw.gov.au,
their 1997/ 1998 and compare the prevalence rates of current asthma and
interference with activities from current astma with that of chronic pain
for females.Which condition, in this context, is more common overall? Which
condition is more common for 24 year old women in South-Western Sydney?
Would this now be a cross sectinal survey, establishing association, but not
causality? The methodology problems then are recall bias susceptibility,
confounders unequally distribute, group size unequal and Neyman bias? I am
very uncertain if my train of thought is correct. Kindly assist with
guidance, if possible?
With much appreciation and best wishes
Dr Isabella Moxham
