Fixed term contract until July 2011 – with possible extension
The University of the Arts London is part of a consortium awarded the
contract to deliver a national Knowledge Transfer Network for the
Creative Industries [CITIN], which will provide support and leadership
to the Creative Industries in the critical area of technology-driven
innovation. This is a unique opportunity to help establish and shape
this exciting initiative.
You will lead the design and delivery of a successful Communications
and PR strategy to ensure high profile, positive publicity and media
coverage, working closely with CITIN partners. This will include tasks
from editing and writing public content, ensuring brand consistency
and managing suppliers to developing and implementing web based
materials, networking with external organizations and creating reports
and guidelines.
We are looking for a proactive person with a proven track record of
designing and delivering communications and PR strategies for a
start-up environment within one of the creative industries. This will
be supported by a relevant degree, an in-depth knowledge of UK
communications and PR supply chains, structures and channels and
highly developed strategic planning and delivery skills. The ability
to persuade and influence at all levels and use a range of software
will also be essential.
