reputations in art, design, fashion, communication and performing
arts.
At the forefront of journalism education, the LCC's Journalism
Department is renowned for its practice/industry-based approach,
especially in the context of rapid technological change. To complement
the vocational training of the BA, the undergraduate theory programme
Contextual Studies, seeks to trace the history and development of the
modern press and understand its role in the evolution of contemporary
culture and society.
This post combines teaching commitments with a potential for extended
research opportunities. The post holder will be an energetic and
self-motivated individual with a broad interest in the theory and
practice of journalism and a particular emphasis on how convergence is
impacting on traditional media practice.
