Professor Salary £51,750 - £60,710
Reader Salary £44,930 - £52,086

The School of Health and Social Care with over 9000 students, has now been
deemed as excellent in learning and teaching on all subject areas through 6
academic reviews over the past 4 years. It is renowned for its successful
partnership working with Health and Social Care Services. It’s Enterprise
and Research Portfolio continues to expand on several fronts, which is now
enhanced within a new Institute of Health & Social Care.
We are seeking to appoint a researcher with an international reputation in
the field of workforce development. You will take an inclusive approach to
the development of research in workforce development across a range of areas
such as public health, nursing and new professional roles in mental health.
You will possess a PhD in an appropriate discipline, have evidence of
research income generation, substantial relevant research outputs and
experience of research degree supervision. Successful candidates will have
the opportunity to become part of the Centre for Translational Research in
Public Health, a UKCRC funded Public Health Centre of Excellence which
involves the five universities of the North East of England. One of the
principal workstreams in the Centre focuses on the way in which new
professional roles are being developed to further the public health agenda.
For appointment to the Professor/Reader posts, candidates must meet the
Professorial / Reader criteria of the University of Teesside which will be
included in the application pack.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the
Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory CRB disclosure from the
Criminal Records Bureau is required as part of our clearance procedures.
