Hello,
On the naming front, it uses the project name as specified in the v1 data
files also as the new project name (subject to "-" being converted to "_")
and (because we want to make things consistent) we are using the same name
for the project directory. Now in theory we probably don't have to do
that, but that's how we have done it so far (since consistency is a
good thing!).
Note that you can edit the project name in the top-level xml file, e.g. in
Nab2_Gfd1_assign.xml you have:
<Project _ID="_1" isStored="true" isModifiable="true" name="Nab2_Gfd1"
package="memops.Implementation" format="xml" url="_2">
and you could easily change that name if you want. Or you can rename the
v2 directory after unpacking.
On the upgrade consistency front, the one example of yours that I just
looked at (APLF) is indeed very odd (and the others could well be the
same). I haven't a clue why that might have failed (especially where it
did). It's possible our server flaked out. In fact, our server has been
flaking out quite a bit recently. (It's used for mail for zillions of
people, and some of them, like me, have 21k messages in their inbox, so
it's causing the poor computer some stress.)
