Hello,
I have just added some funtionality into v1 of Analysis so that you can
package up your project from inside of Analysis, rather than having to tar
up the files yourself from outside Analysis, at the command line. This is
under the Project --> Package Up menu. This will create a gzipped tar
file that you can use in the v1 to v2 upgrade server:
http://www.bio.cam.ac.uk/ccpn/upgrade/
What this packaging up does is copy/save the relevant data to a new
directory, which is the concatenation of "Tmp_" and the project name (with
"-" changed to "_" just to play safe). It then tars up the files in that
directory. (The tarring functionality in Python only exists since 2.3 but
I assume you are all at least on that by now.)
(You could also use this just as a way of creating a backup of your
project.)
I tested this on one of my simplish projects, but needless to say, if
there are any problems then let me know.
(There is still the issue about chemComps that are not in the standard
reference data. You still have to save those to your own working
directory -- I suggest the project one -- before packaging up the
project.)
