Dear all,
Can I ask what reference ranges other laboratories use for TSH and FT4
on the ADVIA Centaur (XP & Classic)?
We are in the process of changing over from Immulite to Centaur and our
comparisons don't seem to be in agreement with the difference in
reference ranges.
For example- that 5.5 mU/l upper limit quoted by Siemens for TSH seems a
bit on the high side. On the other hand, FT4 appears to be about 10%
lower on the Centaur compared to the Immulite, where the lower limit of
the reference range is slightly higher (Imm = 10 pmol/l, Centaur = 11.7
pmol/l).
Many thanks
Angela
