Just for the record: Steve Dietz never said there have never been
good media artists or net artists, on the contrary. He simply tried
to find an explanation for why some people said there have been no
great net artists, like feminists have tried to explain the lack of
attention for the work of female artists in art history. The title of
his text is ironic, and I think the main reason it was quoted here is
his reference to a feminist text by Linda Nochlin.
