Multimedia and ICT Technician (Information Systems)

The British Museum has recently gained sponsorship for the upgrading
and refurbishment of its ICT suite. The new Digital Discovery Centre
will provide facilities for school and family parties to undertake
organised educational activities.
This new role involves working within the User Services Group in the
Museum's IS department to provide technical and end-user support and
deployment services to ensure the availability of Museum information
systems, particularly with regard to the Samsung Digital Discovery
Centre and to the Museum's special exhibition programme. Strong
technical skills to provide first and second-line support of
information systems are essential for this role. Additionally, you
will take part in routine scheduled activities associated with problem
resolution and change management.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with previous
experience in the setup, configuration and support if ICT and AV
equipment. Experience of working on a helpdesk or of troubleshooting
in a Microsoft Windows-based environment or similar technical
experience is also essential.
