Dear all
I want to expand the sample size of my cost data set but keeping the
same mean and SD. The only two commands that I know of are corr2data
(and drawnorm) in Stata, but unfortunately this produces negative values
because of the distribution even though it is keeping the same mean and
SD. As my variable is costs, I can't have negative costs.
Otherwise I can use the GAMMAINV command in excel but this will never
give me the same mean and SD, only similar figures.
Do you know of any command where I can expand my dataset with all
positive values but in turn keeping the same mean and SD in Stata or
another package?
Kind regards
Hema
